Analisse TAFT-GERSTEN

Analisse Taft Gersten opened her first to the trade ALT for Living showroom in SoHo in 2008, devoted to luxury textiles, rugs and handmade furnishings.  Since that moment,  Analisse has worked collaboratively with the best designers and artisans globally to create a visionary brand and a destination design and shopping experience for insiders.

Representing the top artisans in the industry and ALT for Living’s own lines, Analisse offers both bespoke and “off the loom” products that emphasize craft and historical technique.

In 2014, Analisse moved ALT for Living to a retail location in the Flower District where she reinvented the showroom experience for her clients by creating a Parisian-inspired café and flower shop - A Little Taste - as its entrance.  By roasting her own coffee in Brooklyn, A Little Taste developed a cult following and became more than the “speak easy” entrance to the showroom it was conceived to be.

Currently, ALT for Living has firm roots on both coasts with locations in Los Angeles, New York and Sag Harbor (Opening Spring 2022).  Analisse has been busy; she recently extended the brand to ALT Home, an elegant house rental in Sag Harbor open to members of the design community. Additionally, Analisse co-founded with her partner Kristin Fine, The 1818 Collective, a new retail concept and design community hub located in a 19th century house with historic garden in Sag Harbor (Opening Spring 2022).
